Filling out just the aircraft model will no longer be accepted, F-16 or B-737 will not suffice, use the format used on the pulldown list - The aircraft's registration number - The aircraft's construction or serial number - The airline name and IATA / ICAO codes - The airport / airfield name and IATA / ICAO codes If you can't find the information please send the picture on anyway, but the more information included with the picture increases the chances of your picture being viewed. Due to the amount of time it takes when screening pictures a few upload rules have been introuduced that should encourage people to upload only their best pictures These limits are based on your uploads over the previous 30 days: - Acceptance rate between 80% & 100%: Max of 10 Pictures In Queue - Acceptance rate between 70% & 79%: Max of 10 Pictures In Queue - Acceptance rate between 60% & 69%: Max of 10 Pictures In Queue - Acceptance rate between 50% & 59%: Max of 5 Pictures In Queue - Acceptance rate between 40% & 49%: Max of 5 Pictures In Queue - Acceptance rate between 30% & 39%: Max of 5 Pictures In Queue - Acceptance rate less than 29%: Max of 5 Pictures In Queue This is done automatically via the upload page, if you try and get around this, any pictures that do get uploaded will be deleted. To maintain a more regular standard of photo dimensions the following guidelines are now in place, this will apply to all pictures uploaded after August 10th 2006. Minimum Photo Dimensions: - Landscape Images 1000 x 667 pixels - Portrait Images 667 x 1000 pixels Please Note: All photos are resized to a maximum of 1024 pixels wide or 1024 pixels high, whichever dimension is bigger, there is no need to upload pictures bigger than these guidelines. Therefore even if the uploaded image has dimensions bigger than the stated guidlines you must remember that it will be resized and if the dimensions are smaller than the minimum dimensions listed above the picture will be rejected. There is no need to crop the picture down to just the aircraft, there is no harm in having tarmac, grass or sky in the picture. Important message for all photo uploaders (30th June 2010): Click here |
