My name is Frank Grealish and I have been interested in Irish
Aviation since 1985, particularly the Air Corps, when, in the one week, I saw a
3 ship Fouga Magister flypast and an Alouette III giving a SAR demo, since then
my interest has grown. Up until that point in my life I never knew the Air
Corps existed.
The picture above is one of the first pictures I took of an Air Corps aircraft, it was taken at the 1989 Air Spectacular in Baldonnel, the first air show I ever attended. My interest has grown since then, culminating in the website you are now looking at. This site is currently under development and I will be adding content over the next weeks and months. The primary intention of this section of IrishAirPics.com is to present my collection of Irish Air Corps photographs and to provide a brief outline of the current Irish Air Corps along with information on the aircraft it has operated in the past. The secondary intention of this section is to have the largest online collection of Irish Air Corps, and in that respect, if you have any good Air Corps related pictures I would be more that happy to display them on this site, full credit will of course be given. Click here to submit your pictures. IrishAirPics.com is in the process of being expanded, and you can now find Irish Helicopter Photographs and a Picture Database which includes Irish general & commercial aviation pictures as well as pictures of all types of aircraft from all over the world. If you have any questions, comments or suggestions please contact me. |
